Meet Dr. Jeffrey Jacobs
Dr. Jeffrey Jacobs is a board-certified allergist and immunologist with extensive experience in adult and pediatric Allergy and Immunology. He brings over two decades of expertise in diagnosing and treating allergies, asthma, and immunological disorders, in patients of all ages. The demand for allergy and asthma care has never been greater and although some patients travel long distances to see Dr. Jacobs, many feel fortunate to have care so close to home, provided in an efficient and caring environment.
The guiding tenet of Dr. Jacobs’ practice has always been to place the best interests of the patient in the forefront and his chosen specialty melds his two passions—patient care and technology. The field of allergy and immunology has experienced enormous advancement in the last several years, especially in the areas of diagnostics, biologic therapies and allergen immunotherapies that are nothing short of life changing for many patients. The practice offers these and other advanced procedures and techniques because these are now crucial to optimize patient outcomes.
Dr. Jacobs earned his M.D. with research distinction from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California, followed by a fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the National Jewish Health-University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, an internationally recognized leader in respiratory and immunological care.
During his career, Dr. Jacobs has also held significant leadership roles, including serving as Medical Director of Allergy, Immunology, and Pulmonology in his former practice of 25 years, where he was a shareholder and a member of the Board of Directors for many years. He holds board certification from the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Jacobs is an active member of professional organizations. He is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) and a member of the Florida Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society. His dedication to patient care and advancing the field of allergy and immunology continues to drive his practice. Through these and other organizations Dr. Jacobs remains committed to staying at the forefront of medical advancements through ongoing education and professional involvement.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Jacobs enjoys spending time with his wife and their adult son. His hobbies include fishing, gardening, and caring for a variety of pets.
